On 22 January 2026, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institute of Language Engineering (AMBILE), Hyderabad, and the Sindhi Language Authority (SLA), Hyderabad, to strengthen institutional collaboration for the advancement of the Sindhi language. Signed by Amar Fayaz Buriro, Director AMBILE, and Prof. Dr. Sher Mehrani, Chairman SLA, the MoU focuses on joint work in Sindhi WordNet, speech technologies, and digital linguistic projects. This partnership brings together linguistic expertise and language engineering to promote, preserve, and modernize Sindhi in the digital age.
