About the Institute
The Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institute of Language Engineering (AMBILE) is a pioneering institution dedicated to advancing the Sindhi language through computational linguistics and natural language processing. Established under the administrative control of the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives Department, Government of Sindh, AMBILE aims to elevate the Sindhi language to be on par with national and international languages in all computational processes.

Our Leadership
History
In recognition to services of Abdul-Majid Bhurgri, who is the founder of Sindhi computing, GoS has established the institute after his name. The institute was primarily initiated on the concept given by a language engineer and linguist Amar Fayaz Buriro in briefing to the Minister, CTA&A, GoS, Syed Sardar Ali Shah on 18 August 2016 on first visit of Sindhi Language Authority, Hyderabad, Sindh. The minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah had announced the Institute. Then, GoS added the development scheme in the Budget of fiscal year 2017-2018.
Functions
v. To standardize computational processing and voice synthesis of Sindhi language;
vi. To develop automatic online Sindhi translations, transliterations to other international languages and scripts;
vii. To develop online web portals for Sindhi literature;
viii. To localize cellular technology, robotics and artificial intelligence in Sindhi Language;
ix. To train professionals in the field of Sindhi Language Engineering to cope with the future needs of Artificial intelligence;
x. To build consortium between all national and international stakeholders who are working on Language Engineering;
xi. To publish research papers, studies, and such other works as are completed at the Institute or are prepared in collaboration with any other similar Institute or agency, local or foreign or which are otherwise of substantial value to the Institute.
