The Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institute of Language Engineering (AMBILE), operating under the Culture Department, Government of Sindh, has formally submitted a comprehensive proposal presenting Sindhi language resources for potential collaboration with leading global artificial intelligence platforms.

This initiative is part of AMBILE’s broader mandate to ensure the inclusion of Sindhi; a major South Asian language spoken by millions worldwide, within emerging AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) ecosystems, particularly in the context of low-resource languages.

The submitted proposal outlines AMBILE’s extensive, institutionally curated Sindhi language assets, comprising large-scale textual corpora, classical and modern literary works, encyclopedic knowledge bases, legal and governance texts, and structured lexical resources. These datasets have been developed and maintained under public-sector oversight, ensuring ethical sourcing, copyright clarity, and suitability for responsible AI research.

As a statutory institute of the Government of Sindh, AMBILE emphasized a non-commercial, research-oriented approach focused on linguistic inclusion, bias reduction, and the long-term sustainability of indigenous languages in advanced digital systems. The proposal highlights the Institute’s readiness to provide detailed technical documentation, metadata, and evaluation support in line with international responsible AI principles.

This submission reflects AMBILE’s continued efforts to position Sindhi language resources within global AI research dialogues and to contribute constructively to the development of inclusive, culturally diverse, and ethically grounded language technologies.

AMBILE will continue to pursue such engagements through formal channels and will share further updates as relevant programs and collaboration frameworks evolve.
