Hyderabad, February 18, 2025 – In a significant milestone for the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools for the Sindhi language, the Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institute of Language Engineering (AMBILE) and BlueScarf Artificial Intelligence Limited have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The formal agreement was signed by Mr. Amar Fayaz Buriro, Director of AMBILE, and Mr. Umer Hanif, Country Manager of XFlow Research Inc., during an official meeting at AMBILE’s headquarters in Hyderabad.
This collaboration stems from an earlier visit on January 6, 2025, by Mr. Ashok Malani, Founder and CEO of XFlow Research Inc., where an understanding was reached to jointly develop a Large Language Model (LLM) and voice synthesis technology for the Sindhi language. Recognizing the necessity for AI-driven advancements in regional linguistic studies, both organizations have now formalized their commitment to promoting the Sindhi language in modern AI and robotics applications.
Under the agreement, XFlow Research Inc. will allocate two highly qualified AI engineers to work closely with AMBILE in advancing Sindhi NLP tools. AMBILE, in turn, will provide the necessary infrastructure, training, and resources to integrate Sindhi into various AI domains. XFlow Research Inc. has pledged to bear the financial responsibility for these engineers while actively collaborating with AMBILE to develop state-of-the-art NLP tools. Additionally, both organizations have committed to recognizing each other as strategic partners and promoting their joint efforts across digital platforms and professional communities.
During the MoU signing, Mr. Amar Fayaz Buriro expressed his appreciation for Mr. Ashok Malani’s keen interest in supporting AI-based development for the Sindhi language. He emphasized the transformative impact that this collaboration could have in ensuring Sindhi’s relevance in the digital age. The meeting was attended by key AMBILE officials, including Mr. Rabail Aziz and Ms. Manzar Aziz, who provided an insightful briefing on ongoing projects such as Sindhi WordNet and other linguistic technology initiatives.
Mr. Umer Hanif, Country Manager of XFlow Research Inc., lauded the efforts of AMBILE in preserving and developing the Sindhi language using advanced technology. He commended the institute for its unwavering dedication to linguistic excellence, stating,
“AMBILE is not just working to keep the Sindhi language alive but is actively ensuring its place in the AI-driven future. The meticulous work being carried out here be it in NLP tools, voice synthesis, or digital linguistic resources is truly commendable. Their initiatives are bringing Sindhi at par with international linguistic standards, making it a global contender in AI and computational linguistics.”
This partnership between AMBILE and XFlow Research Inc. is a groundbreaking step in the integration of Sindhi language processing into AI-driven technologies. By fostering technological innovation and knowledge-sharing, this collaboration is expected to create lasting contributions to global AI advancements while preserving the linguistic heritage of Sindhi. The combined expertise of both organizations will pave the way for more comprehensive language models and speech synthesis technologies, ensuring that Sindhi continues to thrive in the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence.
