On 13th June 2025, a high-profile delegation comprising Mr. Waseem Khan, Lead Auditor of the International Standard Organization (ISO); Engr. Zahid Shoaib, CEO of Ace Management System Consultants; and Mr. Ghullam-e-Mustafa, Consultant at Ace Management, visited the Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institute of Language Engineering (AMBILE), Hyderabad to conduct a formal audit for the purpose of ISO 9001:2015 certification.

The delegation was received by Mr. Amar Fayaz Buriro, Director of the Institute, who presented a detailed briefing on AMBILE’s vision, institutional objectives, and its landmark initiatives aimed at promoting and preserving the Sindhi language through Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. He highlighted key ongoing projects, including multilingual AI-based translations of classical Sindhi literature, development of NLP tools, and digital repositories, along with the institute’s futuristic planning to elevate Sindhi as a global digital language.

As part of the audit, the visiting delegation engaged in comprehensive discussions with different departments of the institute. Mr. Munawar Ahmed Memon, Assistant Director, and Mr. Hasnain Raza, Assistant Admin Officer, provided a detailed overview of the administrative, human resource, and logistical operations of the institute. They explained the internal coordination mechanisms, institutional support systems, and the implementation of best practices in management and workflow.

Simultaneously, Mr. Riaz Ahmed Khichi, Assistant Director Sindh Archives, who also supports the institute in financial oversight, briefed the auditors on budgeting practices, expenditure controls, and financial utilization standards. He emphasized that AMBILE follows transparent, accountable, and standards-based financial protocols in all of its operations.

The delegation was further introduced to the institute’s team of AI engineers, software developers, and data analysts. Live demonstrations were presented showcasing AMBILE’s progress in developing state-of-the-art linguistic tools and digital resources for the Sindhi language. These included AI-driven translation engines, automatic speech recognition systems, and grammatically parsed lexical databases.

The audit team conducted an in-depth evaluation of institutional policies and practices, with a special focus on quality management, documentation systems, cybersecurity measures, internal audits, and operational compliance with international standards. They thoroughly examined the institute’s encrypted digital platforms, cloud-based data backup systems with automated weekly cycles, and the two-factor authentication mechanisms deployed across all web services.

Following their review, the ISO auditors expressed their high level of satisfaction with the institute’s performance. They acknowledged that AMBILE is operating in line with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and commended its efficient documentation, clearly defined organizational roles, and commitment to continuous improvement.
